From the early 80s I have worked as a partner with my brother in the coating industry manufacturing and installing coating systems and associated equipment. Initially confined to the major vehicle manufacturing plants across Europe. By the early 90s I changed our company focus and concentrated on the industrial firms. Throughout a 10 year period I oversaw the installation and commissioning of 17 electrophoretic plants in UK and Europe. During this time I gained a good understanding of the mechanics behind the e’coat process.I then worked for a  Korean factory as there works manager supplying pressings for the Samsung factory in the north east. Part of the supply included parts with an electrophoretic coating which we painted on our own in house plant. The Korean firm moved with Samsung to the Chez Republic, I then spent the following 6 years working for PPG Industries as their northern Technical representative with particular responsibility for their e’coat business. During this time I gained a large knowledge on the paint chemistry and process as well as a good understanding of the coating market place. This background supports the current and future Overcoat Finishing business.

Since leaving the Army in 2003 Peter worked Installing and servicing paint plants.Working on a large number of plants all over the UK and Ireland he has built up a in-depth knowledge of E-coat and Powder coat plants. Since we started Overcoat Finishing Peter has been focused on customer service and managing there accounts giving him over 8 years experience in this role.

Chris worked for me (Terry) and my brother installing plants for a few years. He then took a position as paint technician with Edward Rose in Brownhills. He was responsible for the running of the electrocoat and powder coating facility.  His responsibility included the chemical stability of the process. Periodic quality inspections and checks of both the finished goods and raw material. He was also involved in the product development to ensure the parts were coated to the relevant specifications. He worked at this plant for 14 years with his responsibilities for the entire coating facility increasing over this period. Chris left Edward Rose to join me and Peter in starting Overcoat Finishing.
